After School Club Play Worker

Sele First School is a large school. Our Nursery classes offer 39 places. All other classes are organised on the basis of age into national curriculum groupings with three classes in each year group. We currently have 388 children on roll.
Our wraparound provision is incredibly popular with over 140 children attending before and after school club sessions.
Our governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working Play Worker to join their very successful team, taking up post as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will work on a variable contract starting on 12.5 hours per week; term time only. The working hours will be 3.00–5.30pm Monday to Friday to supervise pupils in the Club, managing behaviour, supporting welfare and promoting learning and development. This is a fixed term contract until July 17th 2026 to assist with the current number of children accessing our after school club.

Teaching Assistant

Our governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant to join their very successful team from as soon as possible.
The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed term contract, to suit the current needs of the school, working at 27.5 hours per week; term time only. It is anticipated the working hours will be 8.45am – 3.15pm, Monday to Friday. This post is a fixed term contract until August 2026.
The posts will involve 1:1 and small group work to support the school to be able to meet the individual needs of children. Experience and ability to manage challenging behaviour is desirable. The successful candidates must be flexible in the ability to work across school. Having a good understanding of how early reading is taught and a good understanding of Maths concepts would be supportive to this role.
Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification is desirable.
