Behaviour Statement

At Sele First School, we believe that positive behaviour is built through strong relationships, clear expectations and a shared commitment to respect, safety and kindness. Our approach is rooted in a relational and restorative ethos, where children are supported to understand their behaviour, make positive choices and develop the confidence and self-discipline needed to succeed both in school and beyond. We aim to create a calm, inclusive and nurturing environment in which every child feels safe, valued and ready to learn.

We have high expectations for all pupils and promote behaviour through consistent routines, positive recognition and supportive relationships between staff, pupils and families. Where difficulties arise, we respond calmly and fairly, helping children reflect, repair relationships and move forward positively. We are also committed to understanding and supporting the individual needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or additional emotional and social needs.
