Northumberland County Council Autism Service
The Autism Family Drop in sessions are run across all of Northumberland. Each session is free, two hours long and is a chance to come along to meet us and other parents for an informal chat over a cuppa. There is no set agenda for the drop ins. It is a chance to seek support and advice from us and other parents, however there is no expectation to talk about your child if your don’t want to.
Any parent/carer or family members are welcome to attend any session, you do not need to attend the session in the area that you live in. The sessions are not for professionals.

Tyne Green Junior Park Run
Tyne Green junior parkrun takes place every Sunday at 9:00 am. Every second Sunday of the month, we do a fancy-dress morning. Lots of fun guaranteed!
We encourage parents and caregivers to register their children for free at the parkrun website: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/. They can print off their barcode or screenshot it on a mobile device so that children can record each run and follow their progress. Children do not need a barcode to participate (only to receive their results). Children are free to run, jog, hop, skip, and walk along the course. Our mission to provide a space for all children to enjoy being active outdoors in a fun and encouraging environment.
Tyne Green Junior parkrun takes place every Sunday at 9:00am. It is a 2km course for children ages 14 and under and is free to participate! We meet on Tyne Green near Café Enna. First Timer’s Welcome 8:50 am and Super Fun Warm Up at 8:55 am.
Parkrun is an entirely volunteer-led endeavour! We are always looking for hi-vis heroes to help make this event possible each week. This is a great volunteer opportunity for Duke of Edinburgh awards, USACS applications and to help young people and children and adults alike build their confidence.
