Year 4 have embarked upon an exciting new electricity project this half term. The topic has been redesigned by Science Creativity expert Rachel Simpson.

The first day of the topic coincided with a ‘power cut’! Children were then prompted to think about the electrical appliances that they rely upon and how batteries support us in day-to-day life. Children added any questions that they did not know the answers to onto our ‘Wonder Wall’. Children are encouraged to find answers to these questions around school or at home during the topic.

This week and next, children have been creating Electrical Safety presentations to deliver to younger children in school, with a focus on developing their own collaborative skills.
