Year 4 Alebrijes – Clay Sculpture Project

As part of our learning about Mexico and our Frida Kahlo topic, Year 4 created their own colourful alebrijes inspired by traditional Mexican folk art. The children designed and sculpted imaginative clay creatures, learning techniques such as shaping, joining and adding texture.

Once dry, the sculptures were painted with vibrant acrylic colours and bold patterns to reflect the spirit of traditional alebrijes. Every creature is unique, showcasing the children’s creativity, artistic skills and confidence as young sculptors. We are incredibly proud of the fantastic results!
