Year 3 Week 5: The World of Work

This week Year 3 took part in Careers Week within school. Claire Dart who works as a nurse at Hexham Hospital spoke to us about her role on a Medicine ward. She brought along an array of equipment for the children to explore and use, including bandages and thermometers.

Laura Farnworth spoke to us about her role as a lawyer in a bank. The children applied their understanding of money and found out how you can save money with a bank and loan money from a bank. 

Sophie Wetherell spoke about her role as a sustainable fashion designer. The children were impressed by her upcycling of Newcastle United Football shirts to create new garments.
