Our school was filled with creativity and excitement as we celebrated World Book Day this week. The children took part in a fun and imaginative activity where they created their own raps about a favourite book or about the joy of reading.
In Year 3, pupils worked together to think about the stories they love, memorable characters, and why reading is so special. They then turned their ideas into rhythmic raps, performing them with confidence, expression and plenty of enthusiasm! From funny rhymes about adventurous heroes to clever verses celebrating magical worlds, the children showed fantastic creativity and teamwork.
The activity encouraged pupils to think deeply about books, practise their speaking and performance skills, and most importantly celebrate how enjoyable reading can be.
