Year 3 Week 2: HMS Visit
Our Year 3 children recently enjoyed an exciting visit to Hexham Middle School, where they had the opportunity to experience a range of lessons and explore the school environment.
The children took part in a fascinating Science lesson, where they investigated scientific ideas through practical activities and thoughtful discussions. They were highly engaged and eager to ask questions, showing great curiosity throughout.
In Design and Technology, the children enjoyed working creatively and developing their problem-solving skills. They were intrigued by the resources and equipment available and embraced the challenge enthusiastically.
A highlight of the day was the Forest School session, where pupils explored the outdoor learning environment and took part in hands-on activities. The children showed excellent teamwork and a real sense of adventure as they learned in the natural surroundings.
The visit also included a PE lesson, where everyone demonstrated fantastic effort, determination and sportsmanship. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the activities and worked well together.
Throughout the day, our pupils were engaged, enthusiastic and keen to learn. They represented our school brilliantly, showing excellent behaviour and a positive attitude. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to experience life at Hexham Middle School and helped build excitement for future learning opportunities.
