Year 3 Week 1: From Half Term to Hunter-Gatherers

It’s been a fantastic first week back after the February half-term break, and classrooms have been buzzing with excitement as everyone settled quickly back into their learning routines.

The big news this week is the launch of our brand-new history topic: The Stone Age! Pupils have travelled back in time to explore how early humans lived thousands of years ago. We began by learning about the three key periods — the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic — using a toilet timeline to represent written history and the vast amount of prehistory.
