Dragon Eye Artwork
After looking closely at A Muse (Calliope?) by Cosimo Tura, children across Year 4 have been fascinated by the mythical creatures depicted on the muse’s throne. Over the past two weeks in Art, they have explored a range of artistic mediums to create their own dragon’s eye.
Initially, the children sketched their designs and experimented with colour using pencils. This week, they investigated the use of oil pastels to create the vibrant colours and intricate details of a dragon’s eye and scales. The children have enjoyed developing their techniques and bringing their mythical creatures to life through colour, texture and imagination.
