Seedlings in Reception

Reception enjoyed planting their cucumber, tomato, carrot and pea seedlings out into bigger pots. They raked the planter to remove the weeds, washed pots, filled them with compost and carefully transferred tiny seedlings. They gave everything a good water for the weekend!

In Maths this half term, children are focussing on numbers beyond 10. This week they investigated how 11, 12 and 13 are made by looking at the ten and _ pattern, e.g. 11 is made of 10 and 1. They used multilink to recreate Numberblocks. Some children chose to use part-part-wholes to represent their answers. Next week they will focus on numbers 14-20 by extending their pattern.
