Outdoor SPAG

To bring English out of the classroom, each Friday in Year One we've been doing our Phonics and SPAG outside.

Children take part in a Phonics scavenger hunt on the yard, looking for words and sorting them on their clipboard by the 'special friends' they see in the word.

They then take another element of SPAG outside for a second activity. Recently we've been learning about adjectives and nouns while outdoors.  In one lesson, children were given an adjective, for example 'hard', then they had to find things (nouns) that matched the word, that lived outside.
