Our Wonderful World in Reception

Zooming in from Space, Reception focussed on Earth this week. They talked about what makes our world wonderful to them, writing simple sentences beginning with 'I like'. Their favourite things included picnics, friends, trees and animals!

Children began to set up a travel agent roleplay to explore the world and are excited to visit Hays Travel in Hexham after the holidays! 

On Wellbeing Wednesday, they enjoyed a spa and the sunshine outdoors drawing round shadows and watching clouds under the trees on the Sele.

In Maths, Reception's focus was counting beyond 20. We played games of number ping pong - particularly focussing on the points when numbers cross a tens boundary, e.g. 19...20, 29....30.
