Hibernation, Guy Fawkes and Pattern in Reception

 This week, Reception enjoyed learning about animals who hibernate through our focus text, Don't Hog the Hedge! On Wednesday, they learnt about Guy Fawkes and his plan to destroy the Houses of Parliament. They talked about their own experiences of fireworks and bonfire night. 

In Maths, we explored repeated pattern. Children tried copying a AB, AAB and ABC patterns. When confident, they had a go at making their own. They made colour patterns, autumn patterns and of course, sound patterns!
